The FILK_UK Mail-List was originally created for the discussion of filk and related topics (music, sf, fandom.....) within the UK. However, we now have many subscribers from other European countries (Germany in particular!), and discussion of Continental filk events have been accepted as "on-topic" and are encouraged.
Subscribers from outside of Europe are also welcome, so they can keep in touch with the UK/European "filk scene", and the filkers who live here.
This mailing list is closed to postings from non-subscribers. If you are already subscribed to the list from another address, you can subscribe again with additional addresses and then set them to NOMAIL, so that you continue to receive all your copies of postings to the mailing list at your preferred address, while able to post from multiple addresses.
Posts from new subscribers will go through a human moderation process for the first few posts. Once you demonstrate that you are a real human being and are not just trying to spam the list, your moderation bit should be cleared.
Also note that posts made to the list will be archived by default. The "X-No-Archive" header is honoured, and any posts made using this header will not be archived. The archive is private and only made available to list members.
To see the collection of prior postings to the list,
visit the FILK_UK
Archives.
(The current archive is only available to the list
members.)
